New Year, New Beginnings: Navigating Your Fertility Journey in 2025

As the new year begins, many women set health-focused goals. If you’re on a fertility journey, it’s the perfect time to focus on your well-being. Here are four key steps to help you make 2025 a year of progress and positivity.

Prioritize a Healthy Lifestyle: We know that many women use the new year as a goalpost to start a healthy diet and exercise routine, and when embarking on your fertility journey, the concept is no different! Instead of weight loss, focus on eating a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains. For both mental and physical health, try to add regular exercise to your routine. Even 15 minutes of exercise can make a huge difference!

Meet With Your Fertility Specialist: The new year is a great time to reset and perhaps revisit your course of treatment and what options are available to you. If you’ve taken a break over the holiday season and wish to resume treatment, call the office at 201.666.4200 to speak with someone about your 2025 goals.

Review Your Insurance Changes: Many insurances renew on January 1, which usually means deductibles are applicable again, and sometimes updates to co-pays, co-insurance, or out-of-pocket maximums, etc. Being fully aware of what your insurance policy covers this year is crucial to preparing for your next treatment cycle. If you have questions or need to update your insurance policy, please contact our office so that we can investigate your policy for you, enabling us to better support you.

Manage Stress & Focus on Your Mental Health: Stress can negatively impact fertility and cause mental health strain. Practicing relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation, or deep breathing exercises can help manage stress levels. Even taking time for a walk outside can help you decompress and ground yourself. If you feel like you need someone to talk to, there is no shame in seeking professional counseling.
